Designed initially for the medical industry, PenBlade Safety Scalpels are retractable blades that act like a click pen and retract with the press of a button. The pen-style activation uses your own muscle memory from using retractable pens and markers. The release button is located near the front of the scalpel, where it can be pressed without needing to reposition your hand. Cake decorators have adopted the PenBlade into their tool boxes due to their medical grade durability and being machine washable.
